Bangalore Workshop: Gendering the smart city

29th August 2019, Bangalore International Centre, Bengaluru

We’re looking forward to seeing you tomorrow at our workshop on Envisioning Inclusive Alternative to Smart Cities hosted by the Gendering the Smart City team at Bangalore International Centre at 10 am, 29th August, 2019. The workshop will be held in the seminar rooms on the 1st floor, which can be reached either by the elevator or up one flight of stairs, which are to your right as soon as you enter the building. PFA the list of participants and an agenda for tomorrow.

For the icebreaking session, we would like you to bring an artifact which you feel speaks to how you (or others) experience the city, possibly through the lens of gender, and/or as a marginalised group – for example, this might be a pair of shoes that denotes how hard walking on Bangalore pavements (or lack thereof) can be! Or, something that you feel keeps you safe in the city.

We have a full, exciting day of activities planned so would appreciate it greatly if you can arrive at the venue by 10 am.

In case of any inquiries, please feel free to call Padmini on 96209 34241 or Zainab on 96201 00596.
